Where does linen come from?

Linen comes from the flax plant. Flax is an eco-friendly, resilient crop that produces the strong natural fibres woven into our linen fabric. It is a naturally sustainable crop, requiring minimal water and pesticides to produce, much less than cotton, while also yielding familiar by-products such as flaxseed and oil. The flax is then dyed and woven into the beautifully soft linen bedding you invite into your home.

What is linen's thread count?

Linen weight and quality are not measured in thread count. Instead, we measure GSM (grams per square metre), literally the weight of the fabric. Most linen bedding will sit between 140 and 220 GSM, and as you would expect, a higher GSM indicates a thicker weight fabric. We have found the optimum GSM is 165, which is ideal for strong, durable, yet perfectly breathable linen sheets.

Why choose linen?

Signature Softness

Linen is celebrated as an enduring fabric, though its lifespan naturally depends on its weight and how it is cared for. To achieve our signature softness, our linen bedding is enzyme-washed. While this brings a beautiful, lived-in feel from the very first touch, it does gently accelerate the aging process compared to the heavier, stiffer linens of the past.

A Considered Choice

Choosing sustainable linen is a mindful decision for your home. By its very nature, the flax plant requires significantly less water and fewer pesticides than cotton. When cared for properly, pure linen sheets are designed to endure, bringing comfort to your space for years to come.

Year-Round Comfort

Designed for year-round comfort, our breathable linen sheets are naturally moisture-wicking to keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The unique woven nature of the fabric makes it highly absorbent, easily drawing moisture away from the skin without ever feeling damp.
